Coaching primarily focuses on practical skills, goal achievement, and daily functioning, offering a directive and solution-oriented approach.
In contrast, therapy and counseling emphasize emotional well-being, self-understanding, and healing, delving into psychological and emotional issues with a therapeutic approach. Although coaching can provide support with the topics mentioned here, it is not the sole focus.
It is important to understand that coaches are not licensed mental health professionals and typically provide shorter-term, goal-specific support, while therapists and counselors are licensed professionals who offer longer-term, open-ended emotional and psychological support.
The choice between coaching and therapy depends on an individual's specific needs and goals, and some individuals may benefit from a combination of both services.

A neurodiversity affirming practice focuses on respecting and celebrating neurological diversity, supporting individuals in a way that recognizes their strengths, and fostering self-acceptance and autonomy.
Its an inclusive and holistic approach that aims to improve the quality of life for neurodivergent individuals.
Additionally, a neurodiversity affirming practice seeks to avoid pathologizing normal behaviors and traits associated with autism and ADHD. It acknowledges that many aspects of these conditions are not necessarily "disorders" but are part of the natural spectrum of human diversity.
